Community Helpers
Take pride in Flin Flon and celebrate what makes our community so special. How can we improve it? Where can we help out?
Students from Ecole McIsaac School spend the last hour of every Day 5 helping at the local SPCA. While there they walk dogs, visit with the cats, cuddle with and read to the dogs, and discuss ways they can help out. These students go back to school and share with their peers the ways they can volunteer their time, they organize fundraisers to help the SPCA, and have gone into classrooms to tell students what types of donations the SPCA is looking for.

Community Helpers from both schools are organizing a Fun Skate at the Sportex on Sunday, December 8 from 2-4. Skaters can get in free with a donation to the SPCA or pay $2.00 with the proceeds going to the SPCA as well. The students have been busy making signs and advertising this event.
The group from McIsaac are selling Candy Grams starting December 2 for $0.50 each as a fundraiser for the SPCA , and will be baking for the SPCA bake sale at the Bomber game on December 14.
We're in the News!
On December 20, students delivered close to 500 candy canes to students around Ecole McIsaac School and donated $244.00 to the SPCA. Thanks to everyone who bought candy canes, thanks to the Community Helpers who worked hard for weeks to make the candy grams, and thanks to the SPCA for providing their services to our community.
The students have been busy making posters for the SPCA FurBall Fundraiser Social in April.
