Art
Painting, drawing, collages, charcoal, pastels! Let's learn some different techniques to make our own pieces of art, learn about different artist's styles, and be creative.
Kaleidoscope Names
Step 1: Fold a square piece of paper into 8 triangles.
Step 2: Write your name on a separate triangle of the same size, covering the whole surface. Trace over the writing with a black marker on the front and back of the triangle.

Step 3: Place the triangle underneath one of the 8 triangles on the square piece of paper. Trace over the letters with a black marker to spell out your name.
Step 4: Flip the triangle underneath so that when you trace your name across from your first one, it is reflected back like a mirror. Trace over the letters with a black marker.
Tip: The first letter of your name should always be in the middle of the page.
Step 5: Continue doing this 3 more times until your entire square is filled.

Drawing flowers inspired by Georgia O'Keefe
Glue Resist Pumpkins
Chihuly inspired sculptures.
Pop Art collages inspired by Micheal Albert. We used cereal boxes to make our collages.
Students drew their first initial then divided the letter in to many different sections. In each section the students drew different patters, and then finished with an accent colour.
Students work on Comic Book Word Bubble art.
This comic book inspired art combined the use of newspaper, marker, and cut out letters to make a speech bubble similar to those found in comics.
