New to the Flin Flon School Division for the 2013/2014 school year was LEAP. LEAP stands for Learning Enriched Activities Program. Classified as an enrichment program for students in grades 4-8 at both Ruth Betts Community School and École McIsaac School, the program allows students to do activities outside of the normal classroom suited to their interests and abilities.
Students choose projects that they are interested in and work in a small group setting, while still following the Manitoba curriculum outcomes.
LEAP has approximately 100 students in the program at this time with Ms. Kali Senyk as the program teacher.
